In the Settings — Devices area, you can make general device settings and configure event types. These options allow you to customize system behavior to meet individual requirements and define device-specific events

General settings
Device setup

With this option, you can determine whether newly added devices should be activated automatically. If the feature is deactivated, new devices must be manually unlocked.

Device Master Record Calculation

This button can be used to restart the calculation of the master data set for devices. This is necessary, for example, if changes have been made to the device data and the calculations are to be updated.

Event Types

In this area, you can manage the various types of events that are used to classify and evaluate device events. Each type of event describes a specific event that can be reported by a device and is linked to other attributes such as texts and booking categories

Indicates which organizational unit the event type applies to.

Text

English name of the event type.

Text EN

German name of the event type.

Event types

Short code or indicator of the respective event type.

booking category

Determines which category the event belongs to (e.g. device event, device error, booking error).

SAP event type

Field for assigning the event type to a corresponding SAP event.

Additional SAP event

Optional field for assigning the event type to a corresponding SAP event.

client

Shows which client the respective event type applies to.

Add a new event type

About the button “+ Add new event type” You can create a new event type. An empty line is inserted at the beginning of the list, in which you can enter all relevant information about the new event type as described in the table and then save it

More Features
Select multiple entries
  • Using the checkboxes in the first column, you can mark several event types at the same time.

Delete
  • Marked entries can be deleted collectively.

sort
  • By clicking on the column headings (e.g. text or event types), the entries can be sorted in ascending or descending order.

Filter and search
  • The search and filter functions can be used to find specific types of events.
