When do I use the personal number configurator?

When do I use the personal number configurator?
  • System setup: When setting up DEXIOS for the first time.

  • Change the numbering system: Adjustment of the prefix or switch between manual and automatic assignment.

  • compliance requirements: Compliance with internal numbering guidelines.

  • Migration: Transfer of existing personnel number systems.

Configure person number
  1. Set prefix

    Enter the desired abbreviation in the Person number prefix field.

    Notice

    What is that? A single character that precedes all automatically generated personnel numbers.

    Allowed: letters (A-Z), numbers (0-9), special characters - examples: “U”, “P”, “M”, “1", “2".

  2. Enable auto numbering

    Select “Automatically generate a person number.”

    DEXIOS automatically creates the personal number.

  3. Save settings

    Click Save to save the changes.

Disable automatic generation when: ✓ you want to import existing personnel numbers ✓ Speaking/readable numbers are required ✓ External systems specify specific numbering formats ✓ Flexible numbering is required depending on the context

Tip

Recommended prefixes and prefix strategies:

Department-related: “P” (production), “V” (administration)

Status-related: “U” (General Users/Collaborators), “E” (External People/Visitors), “T” (Temporary Users), “A” (Administrators)

Time-related: “A” (2024), “B” (2025)
