Create a new offline component
When a device is offline component is operated (e.g. no permanent network connection), additional fields appear in the “Create a new device” form. These relate to door opening behavior and communication with the system
Start adding a new device
Go to the “Devices” section in the navigation and click on the “+ Add new device” button.
Select device type “main device” and type “OFFLINE”
Make sure that “main device” is selected at the top (not “reader”).
In the “Type” field, select “OFFLINE“from the drop-down list.
Capture device information from the offline component
In the “Name” field, enter the name of the device (required field).
Optional: Add “Description.”
Select a “manufacturer ID.”
Select the “administrative unit.”
Check or select the “source system” (e.g. WEBCLIENT).
If necessary, select the “input type.”
Set “Valid from” and “Valid to.”
Set network mode to offline
In the “Network” section, select the “Offline component” option
Set offline component details
Under “Offline attachment,” select an existing offline attachment.
Select a preconfigured offline system (e.g. “OSS”) to which the device is connected.
Check the automatically adopted “offline attachment ID”.
Local ID that uniquely identifies the device within the offline system.
Enter the “standard door time” between 1 and 15 minutes (in minutes), i.e. how long the door remains open if access is successful. Default: 3 minutes
Enter the “extended door time” between 1 and 15 minutes (in minutes), e.g. for double authentication. Default: 15 minutes
Additional features
Optional: Enter an “inventory number.”
Select the appropriate “time zone” (e.g. Europe/Berlin).
Optional: Select a “holiday calendar” if you want the device to take into account special holiday rules.
Complete the process
With Cancel The process is closed without saving.
With Save the new offline component is added.
